Telematics System Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, prototyping and development of telematics components
• Manage technical feasibility and technical relationships with Mobile Network Operators
• Responsible for platform architecture, applications architecture, and interfaces
• Manage modularity, upgradability, and development of software modules
• Oversee test campaigns across multiple continents
• Deliver requirements, system definition, implementation, testing, and debugging strategies
• Lead in-house and supplier engineering teams to deliver solutions within cost, quality, and time targets
• Oversee certification processes with regulatory agencies (FCC, PTCRB, CE, GCF, CCC, etc.)

Requirements

• Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience in connected car and telematics projects
• Experience in telematics systems hardware and software architectures
• Experience in GNSS, Automotive Wifi, and Bluetooth oriented developments
• Experience with Mobile Network Operators management
• Experience in NB IoT, V2X, and Automotive Ethernet
• Strong project and team management skills
• Ability to work in multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary teams across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Automotive Linux
• Experience in Agile and Scrum
• Experience in antenna systems
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or OTA SW update services
• Knowledge of Vehicle EE architecture and embedded networks
