Telematics Platform Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze software within an Embedded Linux environment.
• Gather requirements and implement new features for Qualcomm Automotive and Telematics chipsets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple domains and geographies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Perform root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and KPI optimization through advanced debugging and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 2+ years, OR a PhD with 1+ year of experience.
• Strong programming proficiency in C and C++.
• Hands-on experience with SELinux, Cybersecurity, TARA analysis, and AVB (Android Verified Boot).
• Solid understanding of OS concepts including Scheduler, Memory Management, File Systems, Locking, and Synchronization.
• Experience with the Yocto Project, recipe-based builds, and version control tools like Git/Gerrit.
• Proficiency in Linux system programming, including system calls, IPC, and multi-threading.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ARM-based embedded systems.
• Exposure to Automotive or IoT Linux software development.
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel bring-up, device tree, drivers, and kernel configuration.
• Familiarity with Linux storage subsystems such as NAND, eMMC, UBIFS, and EXT4.
• Understanding of Linux security frameworks like SMACK, IMA-EVM, and DM-Verity.
• Experience with peripheral Linux device drivers (I2C, I2S, GPIO, UART).
• Familiarity with Python and Shell scripting.
