About the role
Responsibilities
- Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, and customer assets
- Operate machinery for testing during installations
- Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate keypad communication with telematics
- Execute basic to complex wiring scenarios, including custom harnesses and CAN network access
- Troubleshoot issues and develop alternative solutions as needed
- Travel to client sites and regional rental yards for installations
- Represent the EquipmentShare brand while on job sites and in the field
- Work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on tool proficiency
- Background as an electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, mobile electronics installer, automotive electronics technician, or 12V technician
- Own tools (specialty tools provided by company)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius for up to one week at a time
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, and walk long distances
- Obtain MSHA certification within 30 days of start date (company-paid)
- Pass a 10-panel drug screen
