Telematics Installer

Responsibilities

• Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, and heavy equipment
• Operate machinery for testing purposes during installation
• Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypads and telematics systems
• Perform complex wiring, including custom harnesses for CAN network access
• Identify and resolve technical problems and develop alternative solutions
• Travel to client sites or various rental yards within the region
• Serve as a brand advocate while working in the field

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools
• Experience in related fields such as electrical, HVAC, or automotive electronics
• Ability to own basic tools
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time
• Physical ability to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, and lift over 25 lbs
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade School Certificate
• Prior experience in the telematics industry
