Telecommunications Quality Automation Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level verification strategies aligned with telecommunications and customer requirements
• Design and execute automated and manual test strategies within laboratory environments
• Validate new features in each system release and record results in test databases
• Execute regression and backward-compatibility testing to ensure release-to-release quality
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution using issue-tracking databases
• Maintain and scale laboratory system environments to support product line evolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems and Python automation
• Experience with JSON files and MongoDB databases
• Technical knowledge related to Passive Optical Network (PON) systems
• Ability to interface with test equipment using Serial, GPIB, USB, and Ethernet connections
• Understanding of industry standards including IEEE, ITU-T, DOCSIS, or Telcordia
• Exposure to command-line interfaces, vendor-specific APIs, and physical-layer fiber-optic concepts
