Telecommunications Engineering Technician III

Responsibilities

• Build AV racks based on engineering drawings
• Lead on-site integration and installation of IT and A/V equipment
• Label communications infrastructure including cables, panels, and electronics
• Install and mount equipment such as monitors, speakers, and microphones in secure spaces
• Fabricate, terminate, and install AV cabling
• Test, commission, and troubleshoot various AV systems
• Perform inventory management and record configuration information for installed equipment
• Travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites (approximately 50-75% travel)

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in A/V testing and integration
• Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
• Proficiency with MS Office products
• Ability to lift items up to NIOSH limits and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Valid driver's license and valid passport
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• J-STD Certification(s)
• Experience testing fiber and/or copper
• Relevant AV certifications
