Telecommunications Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on telecommunications, IP, and DWDM network equipment located in PoPs, ILAs, or third-party housings.
• Supervise maintenance work executed by third parties on cable station infrastructure equipment.
• Operate testing equipment across all digital hierarchies for circuit acceptance (1Gbps to 400Gbps), dark fibers, and power level testing (TX/RX).
• Plan and support the implementation of new Telxius, vendor, and client equipment.
• Identify and develop projects to optimize transmission plants and infrastructure for improved efficiency and energy savings.
• Manage equipment inventory, including transmission, infrastructure, and optical equipment.
• Control and report on network operational metrics and maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and 27001 standards.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address network failures 24/7/365.
• Travel to various Telxius landing stations across Brazil as required.

Requirements

• Degree or technical certification in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of DWDM equipment and IP networks.
• Hands-on experience with optical fibers, connections, and equipment installation.
• Experience working within Data Center environments (Racks, Cross Connects).
• Proficiency with test instruments such as OTDR, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and Network Analyzers.
• High level of Spanish and basic English proficiency.
• Possession of a personal vehicle and valid driving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Data Center cooling/refrigeration systems (Chillers, Fancoils) and PUE metrics.
• Experience installing and operating IT Racks (Servers), AC PDUs, UPS, and batteries.
