About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 circuit issues
  • Manage tickets and troubleshoot transport issues with CLECs and ILECs
  • Engage with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Manage customer trouble tickets through the ticketing system
  • Resolve service issues via phone, email, and chat
  • Provide detailed and timely ticket updates
  • Work in a 24/7/365 shift operation environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Managed Service or Telecom Support experience
  • 2+ years researching and resolving telecom technical issues (voice, internet, SD-WAN, data)
  • Strong knowledge of WAN technologies
  • Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran routers
  • Experience with CLECs (Verizon, AT&T, CenturyLink, etc.)
  • Experience with Broadband, Fiber, and Wireless repair
  • Understanding of originating and terminating call flows
  • Familiarity with SIP and RTP
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, router, and firewall technologies
  • Experience with SD-WAN design and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of traditional TDM networks
