Telecom Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom systems in oil & gas facilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of communication equipment
• Handle installation and termination of fiber optic and copper cables
• Maintain and test CCTV, PAGA, telephone, radio communication, LAN/WAN, and access control systems
• Conduct loop checks, signal testing, and system commissioning activities
• Read and interpret telecom drawings, schematics, and layouts
• Ensure all systems comply with project specifications and safety standards
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors during shutdowns and projects
• Troubleshoot faults and perform repairs to minimize downtime
• Follow HSE procedures and permit-to-work systems at site

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certification in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, or Instrumentation
• 3–5 years of experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas onshore projects
• Knowledge of industrial telecom systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with working in hazardous area environments
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tough deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
