About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain information systems and related hardware
- Monitor system performance to ensure reliability and uptime
- Administer operating systems, including UNIX and Windows/NT environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and user issues in a timely manner
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior team members when necessary
- Communicate effectively with end users to understand and address their needs
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
- Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, and system configurations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering and maintaining IT systems (UNIX, Windows/NT)
- Experience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization
- Familiarity with networking concepts and infrastructure
- Experience working in a corporate or enterprise IT environment
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux/UNIX)
