Telecom IT Specialist

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain information systems and related hardware
• Monitor system performance to ensure reliability and uptime
• Administer operating systems, including UNIX and Windows/NT environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and user issues in a timely manner
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior team members when necessary
• Communicate effectively with end users to understand and address their needs
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
• Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, and system configurations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering and maintaining IT systems (UNIX, Windows/NT)
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance optimization
• Familiarity with networking concepts and infrastructure
• Experience working in a corporate or enterprise IT environment
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux/UNIX)
