Telecom Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input during FEED and detailed engineering stages to ensure alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
• Ensure all telecommunications systems meet project specifications and are fully operational upon project completion.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to align telecom requirements with overall project goals.
• Execute safe commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of telecommunication systems in full compliance with HSE requirements, legislative regulations, and international standards.
• Ensure all activities within the area of responsibility adhere to strict HSE protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in telecommunications engineering, specifically commissioning offshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of telecom systems commissioning and testing.
• Proficiency with fiber optics, including OTDR, splicing, and testing.
• Solid understanding of network systems, including switching, VLAN, and IP networking.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, P&IDs, and layout drawings.
• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and standard commissioning workflows.
• Experience working within O&G EPC companies is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.

• Familiarity with offshore compression plants and associated systems.
