Technology Technical Representative

Responsibilities

• Support all regions including South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, and Angola
• Configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced TES on-board and off-board systems
• Identify and resolve system problems with customer and network communication teams
• Execute hardware and software product updates
• Assist and mentor level 1 and 2 technicians
• Manage and report on Technology Solution Centre (TSC) performance
• Resolve technology issues according to Service Letter guidelines
• Advise on warrantable technology issues

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering
• 1–3 years of experience with industrial electronic, instrumentation, automation, or communication systems
• Understanding of electronics, instrumentation, networking, and communication systems
• Knowledge of datalinks, GNSS, and database fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong analytical and fault-finding skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mining, earthmoving, or industrial technology
• Exposure to Caterpillar electronic systems or MineStar technologies
• Experience with fleet management systems
