Technology Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as a level one and level two technology support representative for the Office of Information Services
• Manage the Technology Service Desk during evening hours, including email, telephone, and ticketing system responsibilities
• Assist students, faculty, and staff with technology account activation, usage, and troubleshooting
• Remediate computer lab, classroom, and audiovisual equipment issues
• Provide technical and audiovisual support for campus events
• Assist with network connectivity issues in residence halls and campus buildings
• Escalate system errors and outages to department leadership promptly
• Supervise and assign tasks to student employees as needed

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent college-level coursework
• Professional customer service experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems, hardware, and software
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently or as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and provide quality assistance in urgent situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Technology-related experience in a higher education environment
• Experience maintaining classroom and audiovisual technology
• Experience supporting technology system access and usage
