About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the front-line lubricant technology contact, providing technical information and guidance to customers, distributors, and sales teams
- Provide expert product technical and application advice, including technical data sheets, MSDS, and product claims
- Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, and online chat in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical specification databases, product cross-reference tables, and knowledge management systems
- Support marketing and sales initiatives by providing market insights and technical intelligence
- Record and direct customer complaints to the appropriate functions to support resolution
- Provide technical training to internal and external stakeholders as required
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Chemist degree preferred)
- Familiarity with manufacturing and transportation industries and processes
- Strong customer focus and service delivery orientation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multi-task in an operational environment
- Proficiency in working within a computer and systems desktop environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in applied engineering roles, such as in automotive or industrial maintenance environments
