Technology Risk Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide independent second-line risk oversight for modern and legacy technology environments
• Advise and challenge software development and delivery teams on key initiatives, architecture, and delivery practices
• Conduct risk assessments and drive clear, actionable risk insights
• Partner across risk and business teams to strengthen controls and risk response strategies
• Monitor emerging threats and adapt risk approaches in an agile way
• Contribute to shaping the team's strategy, vision, and operating model

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technology risk, IT audit, cybersecurity risk, operational risk, or a related field
• Experience assessing technology risks and evaluating the effectiveness of controls in complex environments
• Working knowledge of software development, technology architecture, cloud, and technology delivery practices
• Ability to provide independent challenge and influence technology and business stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting risk insights to leadership
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, wealth management, or retirement services
• Experience with third-party risk management, AI risk, or emerging technology risk
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM
