About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT services, including software licensing, hardware acquisitions, and maintenance contracts.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT Services and vendors to ensure accurate and timely purchasing.
- Administer and track software contracts and renewal timelines to ensure continuity of service.
- Process technology-related purchase orders, invoices, and quotes with high accuracy and proper documentation.
- Manage the University’s mobile device procurement, including provisioning and account management.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide guidance on technology acquisition needs.
- Develop monthly budget reports and quarterly renewal forecasting reports to support financial planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase procurement efficiency and reduce errors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Experience managing software licensing agreements and IT hardware purchasing cycles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks or comparable financial/accounting tools.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education or complex, decentralized institutional environment.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Freshservice.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) programs.
- Professional certification such as CPP or CPSM.
