Technology Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage early technology developments and R&D roadmaps to facilitate the transfer of innovation into satellite products and programs
• Conduct market assessments and SWOT analyses to inform technology development strategy
• Establish and present technology roadmaps to internal stakeholders and external customers
• Identify, validate, and qualify new technologies to reduce risk, cost, and mass for high-volume production
• Propose and manage internal R&D activities and external funding proposals
• Build long-term relationships with technology partners in industry, academia, and government
• Identify and manage intellectual property (IP) and assist in patent registration
• Provide expert technical guidance to Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical diploma
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field, ideally with exposure to satellite subsystems
• In-depth knowledge of relevant space technologies, products, and services
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Level II security clearance
• Ability to pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
• Strong analytical, innovation, and business acumen skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering field
