Technology Operations Specialist

About the Company

Metabolic is a specialist metabolic medicine clinic operating across multiple branches in Dubai, with a London location recently launched and further expansion underway. We run a hybrid model of in-clinic care and digital patient experience, with clinical pillars covering weight management, diabetes and pre-diabetes, cardiovascular risk, and hormonal and thyroid health.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including performance monitoring and cost control
• Oversee EMR and staff portal user provisioning, troubleshooting, and vendor liaison
• Maintain operational health of third-party integrations including CRM, messaging, and telephony
• Lead API integration work for clinical hardware using tools like Postman
• Perform operational database management and querying across MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Own IT readiness and hardware/software configuration for new branch launches
• Provide remote support for the UK branch with occasional travel

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of experience in technology operations or systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC)
• Working knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with API integration, testing endpoints, and debugging
• Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, and basic scripting (Python or Bash)
• Solid networking fundamentals including DNS, firewalls, and VPNs
• Fluent in English and based in Dubai
• Ability to travel to the UK for on-site support when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, clinical, or regulated industry environments
• Familiarity with EMR or patient management systems
• Experience supporting multi-site or multi-country technology operations
• Exposure to Flutter mobile applications
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or Developer associate)
