Technology Operational Risk Management Lead (Blockchain/Cryptocurrency) - Vice President

Responsibilities

• Perform independent assessments of technology and cybersecurity risks specifically within blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructures.
• Manage identified risks for the firm's most innovative offerings and participate in challenging first-line control designers and engineers.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify operational risk control gaps and develop/challenge KPIs and KRIs through effective monitoring.
• Partner with internal second-line-of-defense (2LoD) teams to advise on thematic risks within the blockchain space.
• Manage a book of work regarding assessments impacting the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) and provide regular status updates.
• Participate in firm-wide global initiatives to analyze the impact of emerging technology risks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with infrastructure or application architecture.
• 5+ years in a senior technology role (engineering, operations, or strategic planning) involving blockchain technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in Smart Contract development, Decentralized applications (dApps), or Cryptography.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence decisions at senior levels.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical systems into actionable risk and control assessments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a senior audience.
