Technology Lead

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical anchor for the One Cloud platform on the ground in Kuwait.
• Bridge the gap between clients, the Group CTO, and the distributed engineering teams in Pakistan, Egypt, and the UAE.
• Own architecture decisions for new and existing systems.
• Prioritize the build roadmap in partnership with the Group CTO and business stakeholders.
• Lead direct client conversations regarding technical scope, feasibility, and timelines.
• Maintain high code quality, technical standards, and conduct rigorous code reviews.

Requirements

• Current hands-on coding proficiency; must be comfortable in a codebase and debugging production issues.
• Proven hands-on system architecture experience, including making critical trade-off decisions.
• Experience shipping large-scale retail or fintech products as a technical lead.
• Proven experience with agentic development processes (must be able to provide a live demo of agentic work).
• Experience in product management and direct client-facing roles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage scope and prioritization.
• Must be based in Kuwait with a legally transferable residency visa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep domain expertise in both retail and fintech sectors.
• Experience with commerce or enterprise-level platforms.
• Approximately 10+ years of engineering experience, including several years in a Lead or Principal capacity.
