Technology Engineer

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on highways technology equipment including signs, signals, CCTV, and traffic monitoring systems
• Perform electronic diagnostic checks to identify and resolve faults in highways communications assets
• Support specific projects by interpreting requirements and developing effective solutions
• Liaise with third-party suppliers and stakeholders to coordinate tasks
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications while ensuring health and safety compliance

Requirements

• Experience in highways technology or similar fields
• Knowledge of National Highways Motorway and trunk road communications systems
• Understanding of display equipment, CCTV, digital storage devices, and motorway communications
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work collaboratively to find root causes and deliver proactive maintenance
