Technology Director

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical vision for the project, ensuring alignment with long-term scalability, security, and maintainability
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to support delivery goals
• Ensure architecture and delivery comply with SAMA regulations and security standards
• Lead and inspire a large, multicultural team of engineers, architects, QA specialists, and delivery managers
• Act as the primary technical liaison with client stakeholders, business owners, and program managers
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, promoting agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Identify and implement delivery accelerators, including reusable components and automation
• Oversee technical integration and governance of third-party vendors and fintech partners
• Explore the use of AI tools and techniques to improve development velocity and decision-making

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in senior technical leadership roles, ideally including CTO or equivalent responsibilities
• Proven experience in Banking or Fintech industries
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex technology projects across distributed teams
• Deep expertise in software engineering, systems architecture, and agile delivery
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across cultures and geographies
• Willingness and ability to be based onsite in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the project
• Ability to work a Sunday to Thursday schedule
