About the role
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and qualify new semiconductor packages and maintain quality of existing packages
- Represent Package Engineering in cross-functional teams to ensure packages meet electrical, performance, reliability, and quality requirements
- Take responsibility for product DPPM and new technology development programs
- Develop quality guidance libraries including engineering work criteria, statistical DOE, and sampling plans
- Address quality cases using DMAIC, RCA, and 8DR methodologies
- Coordinate with global factories on high-volume introduction of new packages and assembly processes
- Manage assembly yield improvement and package cost reduction programs
Requirements
- MS or PhD degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
- Knowledge of semiconductor packaging
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of coding, AI tools, and finite element analysis (FEA)
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical methods
- Knowledge of package failure analysis techniques
- Experience with semiconductor packaging from mechanical and electrical integrity perspectives
