Technology Development Engineering (Failure Analysis)

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on investigations of flash memory devices using advanced lab equipment to uncover root causes of device failures.
• Perform detailed electrical analysis to isolate faults using tools such as oscilloscopes, curve tracers, and in-house testers.
• Interpret circuit schematics and layouts for defect localization and collaborate with design engineers on complex cases.
• Execute physical analysis using advanced techniques, including SEM imaging, to visualize failure mechanisms.
• Develop and present comprehensive failure models based on analytical findings.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including design, process integration, and test engineering to improve product reliability and yield.
• Assist in expanding lab capabilities by exploring new tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in semiconductor device physics and electronic circuits.
• Proven enthusiasm for hands-on lab work and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work onsite at the Penang SDSM Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or research experience specifically involving semiconductor technologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized approach to technical documentation.
