Technology and Engineering Product Lead, Legal

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Legal Systems portfolio, aligning priorities with Legal leadership and enterprise objectives.
• Serve as the primary technology partner to Legal stakeholders to translate business goals into clear product capabilities.
• Provide subject matter leadership across core Legal and GRC workflows, including matter management, entity governance, and eDiscovery.
• Drive discovery and definition activities such as process mapping, requirements elicitation, and user story creation.
• Lead the full product lifecycle including design, testing/UAT, release management, and user adoption tracking.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Data teams to ensure solutions meet standards for privacy, data governance, and auditability.
• Manage vendor relationships and delivery partners, including implementation oversight and service performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technology product management, business analysis, or delivery leadership supporting Legal or GRC platforms.
• SME-level familiarity with Legal and GRC technology ecosystems (e.g., Legal Entity Management, Archer, matter management, or eDiscovery).
• Proven track record of implementing and enhancing legal/GRC systems from requirements through operationalization.
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills, including proficiency with Lucidchart.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a large alternative asset manager, large law firm, or consulting firm supporting legal operations technology.
• Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Pega, Appian, or Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience modernizing legal platforms and rationalizing complex toolsets.
