About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, architecting, and execution of validation strategies for complex hardware in System-on-Chip (SoC) ASICs
  • Take end-to-end ownership of subsystem or SoC validation flows, including planning, execution, and closure
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by reviewing test plans and debug approaches
  • Define SoC-level validation strategies and establish sign-off criteria for functional, performance, power, and stress coverage
  • Drive pre- and post-silicon bring-up, including board initialization, power-on sequences, and processor boot
  • Develop firmware, bare-metal tests, and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) to enable datapath and SoC-level validation
  • Build and maintain validation infrastructure, including regression automation and lab equipment integration
  • Debug complex SoC issues across digital logic, firmware, and timing domains using JTAG and trace tools
  • Run complex validation scenarios on Palladium/Emulation platforms to accelerate pre-silicon coverage

Requirements

  • BE or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in SoC pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and bring-up
  • Proficiency in C and embedded programming
  • Strong understanding of SoC verification environments, SystemVerilog, and UVM
  • Extensive experience with PCIe and DDR protocols
  • Familiarity with AXI, AHB, and APB bus protocols
  • Experience with Palladium or other Emulation platforms
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, TCL, or Bash
