About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive SoC architecture with a focus on I/O subsystems connected over UCIe, PCIe, UAL, or CXL
  • Define I/O subsystem and PCIe DMA architectures, including interactions with embedded processors, NoC, and memory controllers
  • Create flexible, modular I/O subsystem architectures for chiplet, monolithic, or 3D form factors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope SoC requirements and analyze PPA (Power, Performance, Area) tradeoffs
  • Author clear architecture specifications and guide pre-silicon design, verification, and post-silicon validation
  • Improve AI/ML ASIC performance through hardware/software co-optimization and workload analysis (LLM, GPU, etc.)
  • Architect memory-efficient inference and training systems using techniques like pruning, quantization, and speculative decoding

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering
  • 14+ years of hands-on architecture experience authoring technical specifications
  • Expertise in SoC and I/O subsystems, specifically PCIe, UCIe, CXL, or UAL protocols
  • Deep understanding of ML, LLM, and GPU/TPU/NPU architectures
  • Experience with DMA, Network on Chip (NoC), and memory controllers
  • Strong knowledge of computer/graphics architecture and high-speed networking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience architecting GPU/TPU/xPU accelerator systems with optimized high-bandwidth memory hierarchies
  • Familiarity with NVLink, InfiniBand, or RDMA
  • Knowledge of ARM processors, AXI interconnects, and bridging/ordering rule enforcement
  • Expertise in transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and model parallelism
  • Proficiency in CUDA programming and hardware-specific optimizations
  • Experience with NVMe storage systems, protocols, and NAND flash
