Technologist

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality technology support services to ensure broadcast continuity for ABC users in Victoria.
• Provide technical assistance across baseband and IP technologies, including audio and production studios.
• Investigate and log faults, escalating complex problems to system experts and service providers.
• Assist in maintaining system asset registers, technical databases, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Perform technical operations such as TV Master Control and program links.
• Consult with clients to identify needs, advise on solutions, and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in broadcast technology or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in technical support functions, including troubleshooting, fault resolution, maintenance, and installation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients.
• Ability to manage own workload and priorities to ensure timely task completion.
• Flexibility to work shifts as part of a 24/7 broadcast environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to effective teamwork.
