About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze the potential for robotization of hand-welded parts and assess feasibility for robotic implementation
- Participate in the design of jigs and part supports for robotic cells in collaboration with the drafting team and external suppliers
- Perform virtual offline programming simulations using Fanuc Weldpro software
- Execute final robot programming and optimize welding parameters
- Support the development of new robotic welding projects and new products in collaboration with engineering
- Contribute to the optimization of manual welding processes
- Resolve robotic technical issues as required to support production
Requirements
- DEC in Metallurgy (welding option), Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in welding robot programming
- Strong knowledge of MIG and pulsed MIG welding techniques
- Ability to evaluate robotization potential and feasibility
- Proficiency in communicating clearly and concisely in both English and French
- Ability to travel internationally approximately once per year
- Strong logical reasoning skills and high attention to detail
