Technicien de laboratoire

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses on geological samples using atomic absorption (AAS) and gravimetric measurement methods.
• Conduct sample dissolution and gold bullion analysis.
• Follow all published Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for analytical methods.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and prepare dilution samples and solutions.
• Maintain productivity logs and meet specific throughput targets for Gold and Geo samples.
• Analyze and approve analytical data using instrument software and GEMS.
• Manage analysis priorities based on daily requirements and provide technical support or training to new technicians.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial mineral laboratory.
• Science degree recognized by the Ordre des Chimistes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience in a related field.
