Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on Volvo Construction Equipment in workshops and at job sites
• Diagnose technical problems using testing and diagnostic equipment, including disassembly and assembly
• Plan work procedures using technical literature and provide parts recommendations
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including job cards, reports, and time/parts records
• Ensure all tools, special equipment, and service vehicles are clean and maintained in good working condition
• Provide technical advice to customers to resolve operational issues and prevent machine failures
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and hazardous waste disposal procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or completion of a technical school program
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and its components
• Technical knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and hydrostatics
• Knowledge of power trains, electrical systems, electronics, and climate control systems
• Ability to perform heavy physical labour
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience overseeing the work of trainee or apprentice technicians
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer relationship management
