Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform composite and adhesive panel fabrication, machining, and destructive mechanical testing.
• Demonstrate and promote a strong adherence to safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records of all work and manage project documentation to an externally auditable level.
• Work collaboratively with all functions, customers, and suppliers.
• Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained within the laboratory.

Requirements

• 5 GCSEs/O-Levels or A Level in a relevant subject.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical English writing and customer specifications.
• Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Proven experience working effectively in a team environment.
• Must be a British national or hold settled status in the UK due to data sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• HNC/HND level education in a relevant field.
• Practical experience operating machining equipment.
• Experience with composite panel fabrication or using universal test machines (e.g., MTS, Instron, Zwick).
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, including matrix and reinforcement technologies.
• Working knowledge of LIMS (LabWare®) software.
• Three or more years of experience working within an industrial or technology company.
