Technician Mold Setup I

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble molds for production or preventive maintenance
• Install and remove molds in injection molding machines (IMMs)
• Troubleshoot peripheral machinery and equipment such as dryers, conveyors, and temperature controllers
• Prepare and stage raw materials at necessary production cells
• Load process parameters and verify completion of setups
• Perform IMM start-up and shutdown procedures
• Coordinate with the Quality department for first run sample approval
• Complete daily production documentation and record parameter changes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain workspace safety and cleanliness

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity working with precision tooling
• Ability to read, understand, and create work instructions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience with injection molding processes
