Technician Manufacturing I

Responsibilities

• Cut and thread pipes using pipe cutters, cutting torches, and pipe threading machines
• Bend pipes to required angles using bending machines or manual methods
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
• Test pipe systems with water or air and monitor pressure gauges to check for leaks

Requirements

• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
• Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, screw guns)
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings
• Ability to lift and move 40 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing ladders
• Successful completion of drug and background screening

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of plumbing experience
• High school diploma or GED
