Technician, Log-In

Responsibilities

• Receive and log samples into Bluephire LIMS
• Email clients confirming receipt of samples
• Notify Laboratory of incoming rushes
• Receive and log chemicals, reagents, and lab supplies into Bluephire LIMS and inventory management
• Review documentation for accuracy, including reports, invoices, and lot number verification
• Log controlled substances immediately and notify personnel to secure them in the safe
• Contact clients regarding missing or inaccurate information and follow up daily on pending items
• Add data sets to assignments when all information is present
• Forward missing tests, methods, or specifications to department review
• Place samples in designated temperature-controlled locations or refrigerators
• Support Department Review for shipping samples to other laboratories
• Document all activities in accordance with cGMP
• Maintain an orderly work area

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• General knowledge of chemistry and/or microbiology
• Knowledge of various analytical techniques and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a science-related field or technical area
