Technician, Lab I

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical and physical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using approved methods.
• Prepare samples and perform analyses using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques.
• Operate and monitor laboratory instrumentation including GC, HPLC, FTNIR analyzers, Titrators, pH meters, and viscometers.
• Record, review, and report analytical data in SAP and laboratory logs.
• Perform routine instrument checks, calibrations, and verifications according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with quality standards and regulatory expectations.
• Follow all site safety procedures, chemical handling protocols, and PPE requirements.
• Support production by completing testing within required turnaround times on a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• If no formal degree is held, a minimum of 8+ years of relevant laboratory experience is required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of laboratory or chemical manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in batch chemical or industrial manufacturing environments.
