Technician III- Equipment (Implant)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on production ion implant equipment unassisted
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on assigned equipment
• Operate ion implant equipment within design limits, including starting and stopping procedures
• Rebuild sub-assemblies and mainframe vacuum systems using appropriate mechanical and cleaning techniques
• Set up, operate, and interpret results from helium leak detection equipment
• Assist senior technicians with verification testing upon completion of PM tasks
• Provide input to optimize equipment preventive maintenance schedules
• Maintain and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• 3+ years of work-related experience or training
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams
• Ability to use oscilloscopes and digital volt-ohm meters
• Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• AS technical degree
• Electronics or Military electronics certificate
• Practical knowledge of vacuum theory, clean room protocols, and IC Fabrication
• Experience with troubleshooting complex operational and system problems
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for monitoring equipment status and updating checklists
