Technician II, Facilities

Responsibilities

• Support the repair and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, air compressors, and electrical panels
• Maintain proficiency with the Building Automation System (BAS) and recommend upgrades or setpoint changes
• Provide coaching and direction to junior technicians to resolve maintenance problems
• Manage vendor relations, including job walks, LOTO confirmation, and warranty service
• Order parts and tools and facilitate inventory management
• Maintain Clean and Dry Room ratings and ensure work is completed safely
• Monitor equipment regularly to ensure normal operating factory conditions
• Maintain cleanliness in accordance with 5S/3R standards and lean manufacturing practices

Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial facility or manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Considerable knowledge of tools and techniques used in industrial facility maintenance and repair
• Ability to use PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators) for up to 12 hours
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, stoop, twist, bend, and stand for lengthy periods
• Ability to work alternative work schedules, including condensed work weeks

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in facility and process systems
