Technician - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC-R systems and components to evaluate condition
• Identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance
• Fabricate equipment parts to meet specialty needs or replace unavailable parts
• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC-R equipment and systems
• Coordinate with HVAC-R Foreman/Supervisor to complete projects and work orders
• Prepare written reports including work order status and activity logs
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory levels
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve safety concerns
• Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration, plant control, and troubleshooting
• Experience with corrective/preventive maintenance of freezers and chillers
• Ability to operate power tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manuals
• Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and engineers
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
