Technician - Facilities Operations and Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safety and performance compliance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in facility systems to minimize work disruptions.
• Respond promptly to emergency repairs and maintenance requests to ensure a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and manage contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history.
• Utilize CMMS and other technology tools to track work orders, schedules, and inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to facilitate seamless facility operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, HVAC, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or building services.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and system documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience working in technology, telecommunications, aerospace, data center, or industrial environments.
• Relevant technical certifications or trade licenses.
