About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist research workers during study visits by scheduling, collecting anthropometric data, and performing biospecimen collections
- Support participant engagement through interviews, assessments, focus groups, and setting up Garmin devices
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, ordering supplies, photocopying, and preparing participant visit packets
- Assist with medical record abstraction
- Support the preparation and submission of federal and private grant proposals, including maintaining biosketches and tracking progress reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related science (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in research, environmental health, public health, or psychology
- Oral and written proficiency in both Spanish and English
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience acting as a primary point of contact for team members and research participants
