About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist research workers during study visits by scheduling, collecting anthropometric data, and performing biospecimen collections
  • Support participant engagement through interviews, assessments, focus groups, and setting up Garmin devices
  • Perform administrative tasks including filing, ordering supplies, photocopying, and preparing participant visit packets
  • Assist with medical record abstraction
  • Support the preparation and submission of federal and private grant proposals, including maintaining biosketches and tracking progress reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related science (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in research, environmental health, public health, or psychology
  • Oral and written proficiency in both Spanish and English
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience acting as a primary point of contact for team members and research participants
