Technician B

Responsibilities

• Receive and process time and temperature sensitive human samples for immunological, molecular, and proteomic assays
• Purify peripheral blood mononuclear cells and extract nucleic acids
• Perform assays including ELISA, PCR, and sequencing
• Aliquot and store samples at appropriate temperatures (minus 20C, minus 80C, or in liquid nitrogen)
• Assist lab supervisors with routine laboratory and administrative operations, including inventory control and supplies orders
• Generate reports, maintain accurate records, and perform various laboratory testing tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience
