Technician and Skilled Trades III

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical tasks including welding, machining, fabrication, and assembly
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized tools, CNC machines, and advanced welding systems
• Analyze complex technical drawings and blueprints to produce components meeting DoD standards
• Execute precision GTAW on aluminum alloys for mission-critical components
• Lead fabrication and assembly of prototypes and production systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior technicians
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and DoD contractor policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical coursework or certifications
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or welding
• Expertise in aluminum welding and machining processes
• Advanced proficiency in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) on aluminum alloys
• Extensive knowledge of CNC machining setup and operation
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints
• Advanced math skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certification (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, or D17.3)
• Machining certification (e.g., NIMS)
• Experience with CAD software
• Familiarity with robotics or automated manufacturing technologies
