Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform metallurgical laboratory testwork procedures including cleaning, labelling, weighing, bulking, and sample preparation
• Execute digestion, fusing, and instrument operation tasks
• Apply time management skills to ensure routine laboratory activities are conducted safely, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the workplace
• Ensure strict compliance with all ALS procedures and policies

Requirements

• Good communication, organisational, and time management skills
• High level of attention to detail and strong motivation
• Ability to work shifts, including day, afternoon, and occasional night shifts
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks
• Proficient literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
• Eligibility to work in Australia (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid working visa)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar laboratory or mine site role is highly regarded
