Technician A

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and assist in conducting experimental studies
• Perform simple experiments following established written protocols
• Order and maintain laboratory or clinical supplies
• Maintain accurate lab notebooks and research records
• Assist in the collection of blood samples, radioactive materials, and waste
• Support general laboratory operations and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related science
• One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training, and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques in molecular, cellular, or quantitative biology
• Experience with microscopy, image analysis, computational analysis, or data visualization
• Exposure to programming or analysis tools such as R, Python, ImageJ, or MATLAB
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
