About the role
Responsibilities
- Support mouse breeding, maintenance, and genotyping efforts
- Assist with mouse surgery and related research procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including industrial washers and autoclaves
- Manage glassware cleaning, sterilization cycles, and equipment inspection
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work surfaces
- Track laboratory supply inventory, order materials, and manage deliveries
- Document usage of supplies, detergents, and sterilization records for compliance
- Follow all safety protocols regarding PPE, chemical handling, and biological waste disposal
- Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking billing details and documentation
- Effectively write and communicate research materials
Requirements
- Two years of college or an associate degree
- One year of related experience, or equivalent in education and training
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team to execute experiments and interpret data
