About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support mouse breeding, maintenance, and genotyping efforts
  • Assist with mouse surgery and related research procedures
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including industrial washers and autoclaves
  • Manage glassware cleaning, sterilization cycles, and equipment inspection
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work surfaces
  • Track laboratory supply inventory, order materials, and manage deliveries
  • Document usage of supplies, detergents, and sterilization records for compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols regarding PPE, chemical handling, and biological waste disposal
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking billing details and documentation
  • Effectively write and communicate research materials

Requirements

  • Two years of college or an associate degree
  • One year of related experience, or equivalent in education and training
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet timelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team to execute experiments and interpret data
  • Inclusive mindset and ability to thrive in a diverse work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rodent handling
  • Experience in mouse breeding and genotyping
