About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform mouse breeding, maintenance, and assist with mouse surgery
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including industrial washers and autoclaves
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of glassware washing and sterilization areas
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain glassware and lab equipment
  • Support laboratory operations by tracking, ordering, and storing supplies and mail
  • Follow all safety protocols regarding PPE, chemicals, and biological waste disposal
  • Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation for compliance
  • Assist with training new staff or students on laboratory procedures
  • Track billing details and submit required documentation
  • Effectively write and communicate research materials

Requirements

  • Two years of college or an associate degree
  • One year of related experience, or equivalent in education and training
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask within timelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to execute experiments
  • Inclusive mindset and ability to thrive in a diverse work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rodent handling
  • Knowledge or experience in mouse breeding and genotyping
