Technician 4, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and regular inspections on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on the media manufacturing production line.
• Document all maintenance activities, PM checklists, and unscheduled failures in the tool maintenance system database.
• Collaborate with Shift Coordinators and Equipment Engineers to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, and reduce media scrap.
• Provide technical training and certification for junior technicians.
• Support machine conversion, upgrade, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Proven working experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with vacuum chamber systems.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and study schematic/circuit diagrams for system troubleshooting.
• Understanding of failure mechanisms and the ability to isolate and determine root causes.
• Proficiency in MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour AWS shift and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Sputtering or related machine maintenance fields.
• Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
