Technician 4, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and regular inspections on production equipment per schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all maintenance activities, PM checklists, and unscheduled failures in the tool maintenance system.
• Provide technical input to Shift Coordinators and Engineers to improve tool availability and reduce scrap.
• Support machine conversion, upgrade, and improvement projects.
• Provide technical training and certification for junior technicians.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with vacuum chamber systems.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and study schematic/circuit diagrams for system troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of failure mechanisms and root cause isolation.
• Proficiency with MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour AWS shift and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Sputtering or related machine maintenance fields.
• Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
