Technician 4, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sustaining activities for Sputter equipment to ensure high uptime and optimal performance
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and conduct regular inspections on production equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Support Engineers in monitoring and driving continuous improvement on key KPIs such as OEE, MTBF, and MTTR
• Document maintenance activities, unscheduled failures, and PM checklists in the tool maintenance system
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and participate in problem-solving sessions
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and cleanroom discipline during all maintenance activities

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically with vacuum chamber systems
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Ability to read and interpret schematic and circuit diagrams for system troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of failure mechanisms and the ability to determine root causes
• Proficiency with MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour AWS shift and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Sputtering or related machine maintenance fields
• Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Programmable Logic Control)
